To 1442 Warboys, returning to base 1529. On landing Mosquito ballooned back into the air and before the pilot could catch his aircraft on the throttles it bounced fo a second time. With power applied it ran into the overshoot area and caught fire. Both officers died shortly afterwards in Ely Hospital.
