Subsequently, ditched while roughly 25 minutes flying time from making landfall on the English coast. The survivors were able to get into the dinghy but the tide tooke them back to the Dutch coast and captivity. WO2 Sommerville was later repatriated, probably during 1944 , after undergoing an operation to amputate one of his feet. |
